Job summary

UFP Industries seeks an Electrician/Electronics Technician to install, test, maintain and repair electrical/electronic equipment. The role involves regular travel between two nearby locations and offers weekend availability with weekday hours 7am-3pm.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, set-ups, reporting, and adherence to safety regulations. Requires 1–3 years in machine repair and knowledge of PLCs, AC/DC systems, and electrical controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, electrical and electronic control technology.
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology.
• Knowledge of AC/DC voltage, drives, control wiring, and PLC controls.
• Familiar with safe equipment practices and applicable laws and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on electrical/electronic machinery and building systems.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Performs set-ups and tunes equipment around the plant.
• Adheres to safety rules and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Handles hazardous waste/material procedures properly.
• Prepares various reports as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Summary

The Electrician/Electronics Technician is responsible for performing the installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of all electrical and electronic equipment. Please note: This position supports two locations located just minutes apart. The candidate will regularly travel between both locations as part of their role. Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm. Weekend availability is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery, transfer systems, hand tools, etc., in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all electrical and electronic machinery, equipment, tools, and building
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities
• Performs set-ups, tunes ups, and runs the equipment, and machinery around the plant
• Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
• Maintains work area clean and organized
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings
• Performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
• Prepares various reports as required
• Performs other duties as required

Qualification

• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance, electrical and electronic control technology
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology

• Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
