Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrician I for our Ranson, WV facilities. The position involves installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment, with regular travel between two nearby locations. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years in machine repair and maintenance, electrical and electronic control technology.
• Working knowledge of electronic test equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology.
• Familiar with AC/DC voltage, drives, control wiring, and PLC controls.
• Adheres to safe equipment practices and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Repairs machinery, transfer systems, hand tools, etc., per diagrams and manuals.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical and electronic machinery, equipment, tools, and building.
• Maintains records of repair and maintenance activities.
• Performs set-ups, tune-ups, and runs equipment around the plant.
• Follows safety rules and keeps work area clean and organized.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Handles hazardous waste/material procedures and practices.
• Prepares various reports as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
