Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking an Electrician Helper/Apprentice in Roanoke to support commercial projects across the New River Valley. You will learn installing electrical systems, follow safety protocols, and assist with material handling on K-12, university, and healthcare sites.

Ideal candidates show a strong interest in the trade, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

Electrician Helper / Apprentice

Location: Roanoke, New River Valley, and surrounding areas.

The Role:

The Electrician Helper / Apprentice will learn and develop skills in the trade while assisting with high-quality installs for our commercial clients. Job sites will vary amongst commercial projects throughout the area. Projects will mainly consist of K-12, University, and Healthcare buildings.

What You'll Do:

• Assist experienced Electrical Mechanics with installing electrical systems in commercial buildings.
• Learn and follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
• Gather, retrieve, deliver, and organize material in specific job site areas.
• Ability to read a tape measure, use hand tools, work from heights and in cramped/awkward spaces at times.
• Great personality, positive attitude, sense of humor, and a tremendous work ethic

• Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments.
