Job summary

Moore's Electrical and Mechanical is seeking an Electrical Foreman to lead electrical installations on commercial and industrial projects in Virginia, including Roanoke, Staunton and Charlottesville areas. You will supervise crews, read blueprints, and ensure quality and safety on site, mentoring apprentices and helpers throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires a strong knowledge of electrical trades, the ability to train others, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Journeyman or Master card is preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel on electrical building projects.
• Assign tasks, inspect work, monitor performance and maintain quality.
• Read blueprints and coordinate with team and customers.
• Teach apprentices and helpers; mentor crew members.
• Assist in wiring, panels, and EMT conduit installations.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on site.
• Maintain familiarity with construction drawings and submittals.

Electrical Foreman (Commercial and/or Industrial)

Location: Roanoke and surrounding areas, Staunton and surrounding areas, Charlottesville and surrounding areas.

The Role:

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for leading the install of your assigned electrical project, along with training and teaching apprentices and helpers..

What You'll Do:

• Supervise personnel completing electrical building projects
• Assigning tasks, inspecting electricians' work, monitoring team performance, reading blueprints, making sure quality standards are respected, and handling customer relations
• Thorough knowledge in the electrical trade
• Cutting, bending, threading and installation of EMT conduit of all sizes
• Experience bending offsets, 3 points, 4 points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, submittals, etc.
• Assisting in hooking up/terminating electrical panels, set fixtures, and various electrical devices
• Experience seeing installs from start to finish
• Ability to read and interpret construction/coordination drawings and blueprints
• Ability to instruct and teach the above tasks.
• Work as a trainer and mentor for helpers and apprentices
• Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transportation
