MB HAYNES Corporation is seeking an Electrical Helper to assist licensed electricians in installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and equipment at job sites in Asheville, NC. The role requires gathering tools, measuring, cutting, bending wires, and drilling as needed while following proper safety practices.

The position involves assisting with wiring installations, handling conduit, and performing minor repairs such as replacing fuses and switches.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Assist Electrician to install and repair electrical wiring, fixture, and equipment while using the proper safety procedures. Gather tools and supplies to be used at the work site. Measure, cut and bend wire and conduit using ruler and hand tools. Drill holes for wiring, using power drill, and pulls or pushes wiring through opening. Traces short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter. Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduits, and motors. Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches using hand tools.

Requirements

• Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
• Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers, and the public.
• Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds of conduit or wire, work raising both arms overhead while standing on ladders or aerial lifts to install conduit, lighting fixtures, safely use hand tools and power tools.
• Properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
