Job summary

MB HAYNES Corporation in Asheville, NC, seeks a Drafter/BIM Coordinator to support the electrical construction division. You will interpret sketches, specifications, and drawings to produce accurate technical drawings and BIM coordination, maintaining project documentation and assisting other divisions as needed.

You will develop electrical, mechanical and fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD and create BIM models in Revit while coordinating with project teams in online meetings.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Minimum 1 year construction related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to gain knowledge of electrical functions.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and the ability to learn various internal software programs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills to effectively present information and facilitate meetings.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Managers to produce submittals, schedules and installation plans.
• Support efforts of Project Managers and Superintendents in coordination of projects.
• Develop electrical, mechanical and fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD.
• Create or modify electrical and mechanical models for BIM coordination using Revit.
• Participate in online BIM coordination meetings and resolve space conflicts with other trades.
• Offer valid solutions to BIM conflicts.
• Utilize Procore, Viewpoint and BIM360 for document management.
• Manage Autodesk subscription renewal service.
• Create panel schedules for the field promptly.
• Make or order labeling per specifications as needed.
• Print drawings as requested.

Position Summary
