Job summary

Tessera seeks a hardworking Electrician for our Fort Riley/Junction City, Kansas location. This full-time, day-shift role offers comprehensive benefits and a path to professional development.

The Electrician will perform routine maintenance and repairs across electrical systems, ensuring safe, compliant operation for our facilities. Applicants should have at least 3 years of electrical experience; a Journeyman Electrician license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of electrical experience required.
• Journeyman Electrician license preferred.
• Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain electrical wiring, devices, appliances, and equipment from the main meter backward.
• Maintain preventive maintenance and quality control on electrical/electronic systems including lighting, HVAC/R, and alarms.
• Ensure adequate lighting is maintained in all facilities and restore fixtures per IES standards.
• Perform minor electrical repairs including outlets, circuit breakers, sensors, and ground fault interruptions.
• Clean fixtures, replace receptacles and switches, and perform re-lamping.
• Conduct routine electrical maintenance to ensure building systems operate per NEC.
• Plan and layout repair work using diagrams, blueprints, and manuals.
• Record maintenance and repair work completed.

Tessera is seeking a hardworking and detailed Electrician with a positive attitude.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Repair and maintain all voltage electrical wiring, devices, electrical appliances, and equipment from the main electrical meter and back.
• Maintain effective Preventative Maintenance and Quality Control programs on electrical/electronic systems, including but not limited to lighting, HVAC/R, and alarm systems.
• Ensure adequate lighting is maintained in all facilities.
• Restore fixtures to proper operating condition and lighting to all current Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES) standards.
• Minor electrical repairs including but not limited to outlet repairs and/or replacement, circuit breaker(s), various sensors, and ground fault interruptions, etc.
• Responsible for cleaning fixture, replacing receptacles, various switches and other connections and performing miscellaneous re-lamping repairs.
• Perform routine electrical maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently in accordance with NEC.
• Able to install and/or repair wiring, electrical, and electronic components.
• Plan and layout repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, and schematic diagrams.
• Record maintenance and repair work performed and the completion of the work.

Qualifications:

• Three (3) years of electrical experience required.
• Journeyman Elecrician license preferred.
• Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, a good sense of balance, and the ability to distinguish different colors of wire.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
