Tessera in Fort Riley, Kansas, is seeking a General Maintenance Worker for a full-time day shift. The position involves supporting electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and masonry work, maintaining buildings and grounds, and coordinating with customers and supervisors to identify needs and deliver repairs.

Typical duties include assisting skilled trades, ensuring quality workmanship, and adhering to safety procedures. A valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearances are required.

Qualifications

Type: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift

Compensation: $20.41 - $20.41 per hour

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
• Ability to work in a variety of different environments including high places.
• Must have good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
