Johnson Controls is hiring a Staff Engineer - Electrical/VSD SME to lead cross-functional teams across regions, driving continuous improvement for electrical systems and VSDs in data center chillers. You will guide design issues with extensive technical knowledge and collaborate with global teams to enhance product quality and serviceability.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 8–10 years in HVAC or mission-critical applications, with strong leadership and communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 8–10 years of related experience (HVAC/data center).
- Proven ability to lead an execution team and coordinate Johnson Controls resources.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Proficient in MS Office suite and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-functional teams across regions to drive continuous improvement of electrical systems and VSDs in chillers.
- Guide technical teams to resolve complex design and application issues and provide technical leadership.
- Develop and review DFMEA, design reviews, and reliability test plans.
- Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, and service groups to share best practices and reduce field issues.
- Support warranty teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
