Job summary

ManpowerGroup’s client seeks a Validation Engineer 4 to join a highly technical team focused on processor silicon interface validation with an emphasis on power management. The role involves hands-on electrical/functional validation, debugging, and training other engineers across the validation process.

You will develop test plans, execute tests with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers, and contribute to platform definition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 8–10 years of related experience; or a Master’s degree plus at least 8+ years of directly related experience (advanced degree considered a plus).
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the development and execution of platform-level electrical and functional test plans.
• Platform-level electrical characterization experience with processor I/O interfaces is considered preferred.
• Demonstrated technical expertise in debugging processor and PC platform I/O interfaces.
• Experience and/or knowledge using oscilloscopes, reading schematics and layout documentation, and MS Windows and Office applications, along with strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical and functional test plans for client processors using hardware and software validation tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Debug electrical and functional issues for new processors, driving issues to clear root cause and resolution.

• Deliver technical guidance and training to less experienced engineers and technicians in planning, test execution, and debug for processor validation.
