Job summary

Electrical Reliability Services, Inc. seeks a training professional to develop and conduct technical training programs for clients and internal staff.

The role focuses on creating manuals, outlines, and instructional materials for safe operation, maintenance, and testing of electrical power system equipment. The position requires delivering both internal and external training, evaluating trainee performance, and supporting course development with laboratory exercises and exams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to work well with others, use sound judgment and possess good technical, teaching and business knowledge.
• IEEE, IAEI and/or other professional organization involvement expected.
• Make public speaking presentations as assigned.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours and weekends, if required. Must be available for out-of-area assignments of up to several weeks, and to assist on field assignments when required.
• The associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; lift at least 50 pounds; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and administering new training programs.
• Develop outline, text, handouts, tests and designs of laboratory exercises.
• Review classes and provide support and assistance to other instructors.
• Administers written and practical exams and writes performance reports to evaluate trainee’s performance.
• Perform field maintenance and testing support.
• Provide training course development and support.
• Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to Training Services Service Center.
