Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc is seeking a Test Technician to lead inspection, testing, troubleshooting and startup of low and medium voltage electrical equipment in field and shop environments. Travel locally, regionally, and nationally is required, with international travel preferred.

You will interpret schematics, operate test gear (Doble, Omicron, Megger, Fluke), document results, and ensure compliance with NETA standards while mentoring junior technicians and collaborating with engineers and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant electrical experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
• NETA / NICET certification preferred or equivalent hands-on experience in electrical testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Willingness to travel locally, regionally, and nationally; international travel preferred.
• Proficiency in operating protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, lead, and support multiple projects onsite and in-house with documentation.
• Perform testing of low and medium voltage cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and related equipment.
• Maintain test reports and ensure compliance with NETA standards.
• Rotate on-call duties and respond to emergencies when required.
• Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with engineers and clients.
