Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize electrical components across the gas power portfolio. The role spans from initial design to field issue resolution, ensuring safety and performance through advanced analysis and continuous improvement.

The candidate will work onsite and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to interpret diagrams, develop wiring and schematic diagrams, and apply design principles to improve overall system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Power Systems Engineering.
• 0-1 years of prior intern/co-op experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical components across the gas power portfolio.
• Perform thermal, stress, and modal analysis of components in gas turbine, steam, generator, aeroderivative, and powerplant spaces.
• Conduct testing and validation of new and existing designs and analyze post-test data.
• Create design documentation: drawings, specifications, layouts, diagrams.
