Job summary

OnSite Partners, LLC is seeking a motivated Technician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of energy systems. This role works under the supervision of a Foreman and will assist with renewable, distributed generation technologies, and transmission projects including wind turbines, solar PV arrays, substations, and battery energy storage systems.

Work will involve exposure to multiple voltage classes, from low-voltage control to high-voltage equipment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical theory and safe work practices.
Understanding of voltage classifications and electrical hazards preferred.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist with installation of electrical equipment and energy systems.
Work on systems across varying AC and DC voltage classes (low, medium, high).
Pull wire, install conduit, cable tray, grounding and bonding systems.
Terminate conductors for power, control, and instrumentation circuits.
Support system commissioning and startup activities.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on energized and de-energized systems (as qualified).
Troubleshoot electrical systems under supervision.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, and schematics.
Use testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation testers, and torque tools.
Follow safety policies including LOTO and arc-flash procedures.
