Job summary

Epiroc is seeking an Electrical Technician for our onsite team in the United States. The role involves installation, programming, and troubleshooting electrical components on drilling rigs and equipment, following standard safety guidelines.

You will perform high voltage terminations, participate in rig start-up, and diagnose issues using wiring schematics, diagnostic equipment, and software. A Journeyperson Electrician license and a high school diploma or GED are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe working practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and comprehend electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with wiring, diagnostics, and repairs on drilling equipment.
• Journeyperson Electrician license and state certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-voltage terminations up to 7200 volts.
• Assist in rig energizing and start-up procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical to electronic interfaces using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Run conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections per diagrams.
• Maintain clean work area and follow 5S and safety guidelines.
