Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking an Electrical Technician to support field installations at various project sites across the United States. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and learning from feedback while contributing to trenching, cable installs, splicing, and equipment terminations.

Candidates should be prepared for outdoor work in diverse weather, have GED or equivalent, and be able to lift heavy materials.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with DC Trench, MV Trench, and conduit installations.
• Support fiber install, splices, and SCADA equipment installs.
• Perform labeling, fiber termination, and cabling tasks.
• LOTO compliance and safety procedures; participate in surveys as-built.
• Follow directions and adapt to field feedback.

Job description

The Electrical Technician will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn.

Activities/Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists with the following:

• DC Trench
• MV Trench
• MV Cable Install
• CAB Transition Conduit
• Fiber Install
• DC Splice
• MV Splice
• SCADA Equipment Install
• CAB Install
• Combiner Box Install
• Combiner Box Termination
• Labeling
• Fiber Termination
• LOTO
• IR Scanning
• Survey/As-Built

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ (?) pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education

• GED or equivalent education preferred
