Job summary

CoVolt Power is seeking field installation technicians for solar construction sites. You will perform DC and MV splices, SCADA equipment installs, combiner box wiring and terminations, fiber terminations, labeling, and LOTO procedures.

Candidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and follow precise instructions with safety as a priority. GED preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lb materials on outdoor worksites.
• Capable of repetitive motions (stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, reaching).
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and accept feedback.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work with colleagues and supervisors.
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in varied weather and safety permits.
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform DC and MV splicing and related installations.
• Install SCADA equipment and wiring.
• Install cabling and combiner boxes; complete terminations.
• Label cables and terminations accurately.
• Perform fiber termination and testing.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Conduct infrared (IR) scanning for fault detection.
• Complete survey and as-built documentation.
• Work on outdoor solar construction sites, in various conditions.
• Maintain safety standards and compliance.

Education:

• GED or equivalent education preferred
