CoVolt Power AHV is seeking an Electrical Technician to support field installations at our US project sites. The role involves assisting with DC/MV trenching, cable installs, fiber termination, splices, SCADA equipment install, and LOTO/IR scanning. You must be comfortable outdoors in varied weather and able to lift heavy materials while following precise instructions.

Prior solar construction experience is preferred. GED or equivalent education is preferred.

• Able to perform repetitive actions such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
• Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
• Follow precise instructions and receive feedback.
• Experience on solar construction projects is preferred.

The Electrical Technician will be located in the field at one of our project sites within the United States. The ideal candidate is a positive force on the jobsite, open to feedback, and hungry to learn.

Activities/Responsibilities/Duties:

Assists with the following:

• DC Trench
• MV Trench
• MV Cable Install
• CAB Transition Conduit
• Fiber Install
• DC Splice
• MV Splice
• SCADA Equipment Install
• CAB Install
• Combiner Box Install
• Combiner Box Termination
• Labeling
• Fiber Termination
• LOTO
• IR Scanning
• Survey/As-Built

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ (?) pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education:

• GED or equivalent education preferred
