Job summary

CoVolt Power is hiring for a field installation role supporting solar construction projects in Texas. You will perform DC and MV splices, SCADA equipment installs, labeling, fiber terminations, and related cabling work. Expect outdoor site conditions and adherence to safety policies.

Ideal candidates bring GED or equivalent, ability to lift heavy materials, and comfort with repetitive physically demanding tasks in varying weather. Teamwork and following instructions are essential for success.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and handle them safely.
• Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Experience on solar construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DC splice, MV splice, and SCADA equipment installations.
• Install CABs, combiner boxes, labeling, and fiber terminations.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and site surveys.
• Collaborate with team and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.

Skills/Abilities:

• Able to lift 50+ (?) pound materials, maneuvering them into their proper places
• Able to conduct repetitive actions, such as stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching
• Able to stand or walk for extended periods of time
• Able to follow precise instruction and receive feedback
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work well with others, including colleagues and supervisors
• Experience working on solar construction projects preferred
• This position requires working outdoors in various, often extreme weather conditions including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
• Candidates must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits.
• This position may also include exposure to loud noises, dust, debris, and other construction-related hazards

Education:

• GED or equivalent education preferred
