Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced electrical systems engineer to lead development for autonomous platforms. You will design and integrate electrical subsystems, manage technical data packages, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness and DoD compliance.

The role requires defense industry experience, ability to obtain clearance, and hands-on work across office, lab, and shipboard environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with no experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance.
• Experience supporting defense contracts and production floor environments.
• Experience in circuit card assembly design, prototyping, and production readiness reviews.
• Experience in software/firmware development and cybersecurity products.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of electrical capabilities for autonomous systems.
• Design and implement electrical systems for energy, navigation, propulsion, sensor, control, launch, and recovery subsystems.
• Manage technical data packages and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bring designs through first article release, testing, integration, and manufacturing support.
• Travel to offsite locations as assigned.
• Perform project management duties for assigned efforts.
