Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged applications.
• Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces.
• Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Altium/OrCAD/KiCad).
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable harness drawings.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python for data acquisition and test execution.

Responsibilities

• Configure and verify DUT operating modes prior to and during EMC testing.

• Proactively manage the test schedule based on hardware availability and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Maintain real-time visibility into schedule risks and milestones.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to drive design choices.
• Conduct root cause analysis in support of vehicle integration and field operations.

Fresh has partnered with a AI Defense company, we are looking for an Electrical System Test Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will work closely with avionics, system, and software engineers to create test systems for development, qualification, verification, and validation purposes. Responsibilities:

• Create test systems to support all phases of product development.
• Define cable harnesses, breakout interfaces, and test hardware setups.
• Collaborate with SW/FW for test modes, stimulation, and telemetry.
• Configure and verify DUT operating modes prior to and during EMC testing.
• Develop and maintain test setup and configuration documentation.
• Track and drive on-time delivery of test hardware, fixtures, and support equipment to the EMC team.
• Proactively manage the test schedule based on hardware availability, coordinate across disciplines, and remove blockers to eliminate dead time.
• Maintain real-time visibility into schedule risks and keep milestones on track.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input to identify issues and drive design choices.
• Conduct root cause analysis in support of vehicle integration and field operations.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications.
• Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces
• Proficient with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and cable harness drawings.
• Write and maintain automation scripts in Python to support data acquisition, test execution, and data post-processing.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and procedures.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $75/hr - $85/hr.
