General Motors Company is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality and Development Engineer to drive APQP, PPAP, and Run@Rate processes with our global supplier base. The role ensures robust launch readiness and ongoing quality performance across supplier-provided components, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams.

You will lead problem solving using structured methods, perform on-site supplier assessments, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and GM requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field; 2 years in supplier quality or related area.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, Run@Rate, PFMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and travel 40–50% domestically.

Responsabilités

• Lead APQP with assigned suppliers to meet program timing and quality targets.
• Review and approve supplier quality deliverables (PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, CAPAs).
• Review and approve PPAP and Run@Rate submissions before production release.
• Monitor supplier performance using quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead structured problem solving (8D/SPPS) for supplier issues from containment to root cause.
• Conduct on-site supplier assessments and verify process capability and IATF 16949 compliance.
• Partner with Design Release, Manufacturing, Plant Quality, Purchasing, and Launch teams.
