ManpowerGroup's client, Automotive Quality & Supplier Development, seeks an Automotive Supplier Development Engineer to join their BC I Quality Team in Auburn Hills, onsite. You will support supplier compliance, launch readiness, and the transition to quality volume production, leading cross-functional supplier quality reviews and root cause analysis.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Eng (ABET), 5+ years in automotive Product Eng / Supplier Quality, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and/or Product Quality.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP and the Supplier Quality Manual.
• Statistical data analysis and metrology principles, including Root Cause Analysis methods and process control understanding.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams; ability to develop and drive action plans for issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the compliance and quality of BCI parts and assemblies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Approve APQP/PPAP deliverables and ensure alignment to BCI compliant processes.
• Lead supplier quality reviews to confirm compliance actions are consistent with vehicle quality expectations.
• Drive issue resolution by proposing pilots, escalating based on BCI business criteria, and coaching strategic suppliers on complaint execution and resolution.
• Guarantee launch readiness by ensuring root cause analysis is completed and change requests are managed to support 100% quality at launch, including correlation of measurement data to KPIs with data integrity.
