Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervision and technical assistance to technicians.

Job Overview

Electrical Supervisor at IKO Industries Ltd. The role is based at the Bismarck, Missouri plant and involves overseeing the design, installation, testing, calibration, modification, maintenance, repair, and servicing of industrial electrical and electronic instruments, equipment, devices, controls and machinery used in the high‑speed asphalt shingle manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Provide first‑line supervision, technical assistance, and training to a staff of journey‑level industrial electrical and electronics technicians.
• Lead the team in troubleshooting electrical problems and devise solutions.
• Formulate and develop goals and objectives; supervise personnel and direct day‑to‑day activities.
• Participate in the selection and training of Electrical department personnel.
• Research new operational methods, techniques and equipment and recommend their application.
• Ensure tools are repaired and calibrated; document purchase orders and maintain tool folders.
• Maintain electrical equipment such as compressors and power tools.
• Enforce safety procedures, educate employees on rules, regulations, codes, safe work habits and potential hazards.
• Identify potential electrical safety concerns and formulate solutions.
• Review or prepare drawings and specifications for contract work and inspect work performed to ensure compliance with standards and equipment.
• Plan and oversee the testing of electrical and electronic equipment and devices on a scheduled basis.
• Develop, review and update written maintenance instructions and schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley Drives, Relay Logic, PLC logic controls and programming.
• Licensed Industrial Electrician or degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment.
