Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Electrical Superintendent I in the Power Delivery Group to coordinate, plan, and supervise electrical activities on a large project in the United States. You will lead Assistant Electrical Superintendents, contractors, and craft workers, ensuring high-quality installation of HV and MV cables, substations, and related infrastructure.

You will mentor field personnel, maintain safety records, and collaborate with engineering to meet drawings and specs while managing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 13 years supervisory experience.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with high and medium voltage equipment and cable.
• Knowledgeable about cable testing methods (Hi-pot, Megger, TTR, Doble).
• Proficiency with electrical drawings, underground duct banks, trenching, manholes and vaults.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical scope projects and supervise craft activities.
• Oversee underground cabling, overhead lines, and substation construction.
• Review drawings, submittals, and constructability with engineering team.
• Develop schedules with three-week look-ahead and manage resources.
• Ensure safety and Zero Injury Program compliance; track OSHA reports.
• Coach field personnel and manage union relations and open shop issues.
