JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of this team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.
Key Role Responsibilities - Core
- Leads all aspects of the company's safety culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment, investigating safety incidents, and retraining staff as needed.
- Provides management of subcontractors and organization of the overall job and workflow.
- Manages and oversees company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEO for small projects or parts of larger projects.
- Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
- Coordinates and manages project site care, custody, and control.
- Leads meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
- Participates in project progress and OAC meetings.
- Creates and manages project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Tracks and monitors project budgets and costs using project management systems.
- Communicates key project information to stakeholders.
- Maintains project documentation and updates drawings and logs.
- Approves and records cost information, completes reports, and evaluates progress.
- Manages material and equipment needs.
- Supports procurement processes and assists in selecting tools and equipment.
- Manages timecard approvals for accurate reporting.
- Ensures quality compliance through specifications and QA/QC processes.
- Supports project closeouts and coordinates activities with stakeholders.
- Participates in project pursuit processes and planning.
- Partners with field leadership on staffing and project changes.
- Participates in negotiations and project review meetings.
- Understands and applies contract terms and conditions.
- Responsible for recruiting top talent and promoting diversity and inclusion.
Additional Responsibilities - Superintendent 2
- Manages complex projects from start to finish.
- Assumes responsibility for management, scheduling, safety, and quality.
- Identifies and manages project risks.
- Uses experience to solve problems and manage deliverables.
- Participates in project pursuits and negotiations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Effective communication, presentation, and proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
- Knowledge of construction processes, trades, and labor productivity.
- Ability to manage budgets, build relationships, and understand project documentation.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience
- At least 5 years of construction experience and 3 years of field supervision.
Working Environment
- Valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 pounds, travel, and work in various conditions.
