Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a senior field supervisor for the Port Arthur LNG project in Port Arthur, TX. You will lead a team of craft professionals and superintendents, directing work, coordinating subcontract activity, and ensuring adherence to project policies, schedules, and budgets.

The role requires 8–14 years of relevant construction experience, especially in LNG/oil/chemical facilities, with strong communication, technical and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in LNG, oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction along the U.S Gulf Coast preferred.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to develop 3 week look ahead schedule for work operations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs craft activities; schedules work and reviews progress.
• Determines workforce requirements and coordinates area operational plans.
• Monitors tool and equipment usage on site.
• Oversees preparation of Field Material Requisitions for tools and consumables.
• Ensures design documents are current and approved changes are implemented.
• Ensures subcontractor performance complies with specs and schedules.
• Interprets engineering design documents with field engineers and craft supervision.
• Oversees implementation of engineering solutions with subcontractors and craft professionals.
