Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Electrical Commissioning Supervisor in Port Arthur, TX to lead and coordinate electrical activities from component testing to integrated startup, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance.

You will partner with the CSU team and other disciplines to plan execution, prepare work packages, manage turnover, material requisitions, and monitor testing and field performance on LNG facilities along the Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience on LNG construction sites along the U.S. Gulf Coast is preferred.
• Extensive experience in commissioning, startup, operation, maintenance, testing of Electrical Systems/Components in Oil & Gas facilities.
• Knowledge of startup, maintenance, operations or testing standards and regulatory criteria.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines and manage workflows from design to construction.

Responsibilities

• Leads basic Startup Specialist duties of installation, configuration validation and work package development.
• Plans and schedules CSU execution activities and resource requirements.
• Prepares Startup Work Packages and Test Work Packages for assigned areas.
• Participates in turnover walkdowns and interfaces with Field Engineers for component/system turnover.
• Initiates requisitions for field purchases and tracks material and equipment.
• Performs walkdowns to validate system configuration and tests equipment per specs.
• Identifies and resolves ES&H issues in the field.
• Supports testing, startup and operations activities to meet schedule and cost.
