Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an Electrical Project Engineer for substations. You will lead technical design, coordinate with clients and vendors, and guide EPC activities for high-voltage projects up to 765 kV.

Minimum 5 years of related experience and a Bachelor's in Engineering are required, with a path toward PE license. Hybrid or flexible work options may apply after onboarding, with strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Function as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead on substation projects.
• Support substation projects up to 765kV in engineering, EPC.
• Develop protection and control design deliverables (relays, diagrams, wiring).
• Develop yard layout, grounding, lightning protection, and power systems.
• Prepare electrical equipment specs and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors; present proposals.
