Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer - Substation to contribute to high‑voltage substation projects and multidisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes protection & control, yard layout, and equipment wiring for 765 kV design work across multiple office locations, with travel as needed.

You will collaborate with clients and vendors, prepare equipment specifications and BOMs, and uphold QA/QC standards while developing professional skills in a growing, employee‑owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience.
• HV substation design experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform substation designs, including physical design and protection & controls.
• Develop design deliverables and BOMs for HV substations.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors and subcontractors.
• Possess QA/QC responsibilities and support budgets.
