Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Start Specialist for the Port Arthur LNG project in Southeast Texas. You will provide knowledge, training, and consultative support for commissioning and startup disciplines, contribute to work planning, turnover coordination, material management, and ES&H practices.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree with 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, initial startup and operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, instrumentation drawings, isometrics, and loop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provides knowledge in a discipline for CSU (e.g., complex technical processes).
• Plans and schedules CSU execution activities across disciplines and functions.
• Turnover coordination and field interface for CSU turnover walkdowns.
• Material management and quantities tracking; requisitions for field purchases.
• Quality control support and interpretation of design information and codes.
• Identify and resolve ES&H issues in the field and model safe practices.
