Job summary

Baker Group in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Service Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical service, maintenance, and small projects from request to closeout. You will coordinate estimating, planning, procurement, scheduling, and safety while ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, or Electrical Engineering, or 5+ years of related experience.
• Solid knowledge of construction practices and principles.
• Experience with electrical estimating, project-management, service-management, accounting, scheduling, and job-cost software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers, team members, contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal departments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for service projects and maintenance accounts.
• Conduct site walks and meetings to identify deficiencies, risks, repair needs, and future opportunities.
• Develop scopes, proposals, budgets, material lists, manpower requirements, schedules, execution plans, and pricing for electrical work.
• Communicate schedule, budget, disruptions, safety requirements, changes, and project status.
• Review drawings, schematics, specifications, submittals, and manufacturer documentation.
• Develop MOPs, shutdown plans, LOTO, outage plans, and JHAs.
• Manage projects from authorization through closeout and coordinate various work phases.
