Job summary

Baker Group is seeking an Electrical BIM Technician in Ankeny, IA. You will create 3D models and 2D documents for construction using Autodesk software and related tools, while growing client relationships aligned with Baker Group values.

Requirements include 1–5 years' electrical design experience and advanced Autodesk knowledge. You will support the project team, coordinate schedules, and contribute to BIM process improvements in a dynamic, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• One to five years of experience with electrical systems design, layout and construction.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk software including Revit+, Add-Ins, Fabrication, Navisworks.
• Proven ability to manage detailing processes profitably and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and 2D construction documents using Autodesk software (Revit+, Navisworks, etc.).
• Increase knowledge of construction methods and detailing to improve professionalism.
• Work with point cloud/laser scan files including alignment and handling large data.
• Modify floor plans per as-built conditions or field markups.
• Create details and Revit family parts and install/spool drawings.
• Assist project team to coordinate and meet deadlines.
• Provide BIM user support and training.
• Help write processes to improve BIM efficiency.
