Job summary

Amentum is seeking a SCADA Operator (Electrical) to support a government contract at Kings Bay, Georgia. The role involves monitoring the electrical transmission, distribution, and power generation systems, handling alarms, and coordinating field crews.

You will work under minimal supervision, dispatch electricians, maintain logs, and assist with emergency response and reporting. The ideal candidate has five years as a journey-level transmission/distribution electrician and a valid state

Qualifications

Five years verifiable journey-level experience in transmission or distribution electrical work.
Must understand operation, maintenance and repair of energized and de-energized systems.
Proficient with computers and common software.
Able to produce procedures and switching orders.
Valid state driver’s license and ASTM F2413-05 footwear when required.

Responsibilities

Monitor electrical transmission, distribution, and power generation systems and SCADA for proper operation.
Receive trouble calls and initiate work orders in PWMA and MAXIMO.
Call in craftspeople for repairs outside normal hours; dispatch duty electricians.
Maintain operation records and reports; follow emergency response plans.
Coordinate switching and communicate with base and utility partners.
