Job summary

Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory in Princeton, NJ, is seeking an Electrical Safety Specialist to support the Occupational, Safety and Health Division. The role focuses on implementing and improving the Electrical Safety Program, delivering training, and conducting inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA, and 10 CFR 851.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, technical certification, military training or equivalent experience in electrical engineering/technology is preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in inspection, testing, operation, maintenance or troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E and related electrical safety requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize, conduct and document Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training per PPPL programs.
• Perform field audits and inspections of electrical equipment and systems.
• Provide guidance on electrical safety, PPE, testing and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
