Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer to own the safety program for its expanding AI infrastructure and data-center facilities. You will lead NFPA 70E compliance, LOTO, arc-flash studies, and equipment labeling to protect personnel and enable rapid compute growth.

You will collaborate with design, construction, and commissioning teams, mentor NFPA 70E qualified persons, and ensure grounding, power quality, and safe operation limits across UPS, generators, and battery storage

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
3+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems or critical facilities.
Willingness to relocate to the Memphis area.

Responsibilities

Own the site electrical safety program per NFPA 70E and related practices.
Lead arc-flash hazard analysis, PPE categorization, and labeling.
Develop and audit LOTO procedures for UPS, PDUs, switchgear, and energy storage.
Review energized work, switching, and commissioning from a safety perspective.
Coordinate with design/construction teams to integrate safety into new builds.
Investigate incidents and drive root-cause actions to closure.
