Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis, TN is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer to own the electrical safety program across its expanding AI infrastructure and data-center facilities. You will ensure high-density power systems meet personnel protection and reliability requirements while scaling compute capacity.

The role requires deep knowledge of NFPA 70E, UPS/PDUs, switchgear, energy storage and coordination with design and commissioning teams to embed safety into new builds and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in electrical power systems or critical facilities.
• Experience with NFPA 70E required.

Responsibilities

• Own the site electrical safety program per NFPA 70E.
• Develop and enforce LOTO and live-dead-live procedures.
• Lead arc-flash analysis and labeling.
• Deliver electrical safety training for operators, technicians, contractors, and partners.
• Review energized work and safety-critical procedures; stop work when unsafe.
• Coordinate with design, construction, and commissioning teams to embed safety in new builds and expansions.
• Investigate electrical incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
