Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is actively seeking a Heat-Treating Technician specializing in Electrical Resistance methods to support field and shop operations. You will independently execute PWHT and preheat cycles, set up heating systems, lay out insulation, and document heat cycles on diverse piping, vessels, and structural weldments.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on ERHT in industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of ceramic heating pads, controller programming, thermocouple application, and insulation layout.
• Familiarity with weld joint preparation and applicable codes (ASME, API).
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, and heat treat specs.
• Willingness to travel and work in Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Power, and related environments.
• Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and varied schedules.
• Must obtain TWIC/DISA or other site access credentials.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup, operation, and breakdown of electrical resistance heating systems, including ceramic pad heaters and thermocouples.
• Execute PWHT and preheat activities per procedures and codes.
• Lay out and install heat treating blankets, insulation, and thermocouples.
• Program, monitor, and record temperature cycles with control units.
• Interpret weld procedures, stress relief specs, and heat treat drawings.
• Troubleshoot equipment and temperature control issues during operations.
• Coordinate on-site with welders, inspectors, and client representatives.
• Maintain records of heat cycles, charts, and equipment logs for QA/QC.
