Job summary

Ramboll’s Water U.S. Construction Management Division is seeking an Electrical Resident Engineer to oversee municipal water construction projects. You’ll collaborate with design teams and field staff to ensure design intent and contract requirements are met, while applying standard engineering practices.

The role supports Mid-Atlantic region work with potential short-term relocations; entry to senior levels are encouraged to apply, with a base salary range disclosed to attract the right talent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate and electrical field education.
• Valid driver’s license and travel up to 100%.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of electrical regulations, standards, and codes.
• Knowledge of electrical systems including generators, UPS, PLC, SCADA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction-related projects using standard engineering techniques.
• Direct construction personnel to comply with contract documents and report non-conformances.
• Review design criteria, drawings, submittals, RFIs and change management.
• Perform engineering calculations for pumps, concrete, hydraulics, electrical adequacy.
• Assist in commissioning activities and develop logs and checklists.
• Observe contractor progress and review payment estimates for accuracy.
