Job summary

Ramboll US Corporation seeks an Electrical Resident Engineer to oversee municipal water construction projects across the U.S. This role focuses on applying standard construction techniques, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring contract conformance from design through commissioning.

You will analyze engineering concepts, review submittals, and support change management while directing field personnel and maintaining safety and quality standards. Travel up to 100% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BEng/BSc) or related disciplines.
• EIT certificate.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; build and maintain collaborative relationships with all stakeholders (client, contractor, and design disciplines).
• General understanding of electrical regulations, standards, and codes.
• General understanding of electrical systems including generators, power supply/distribution, UPS, MCC, VFD, OIT/HMI, SCADA, PLC, RTU, DCS, LPS, SPD, grounding, instrumentation, communications, and security.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction procedures, methods and materials to ensure conformance with contract documents.
• Direct construction personnel and report non-conformances throughout the project.
• Review design criteria, drawings, submittals, RFI responses, change management, and other documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations to determine pump performance, concrete mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical adequacy.
• Assist in commissioning activities for equipment and electrical systems.
