Job summary

3M Center in Maplewood, MN is seeking an Electrical Reliability and Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance for Lab, Office, Pilot Plant and Utility Plant supporting global operations. You will ensure safe, reliable equipment operation and drive infrastructure renewal.

You will collaborate with 3M teams worldwide, perform FMEA, develop preventive and predictive maintenance plans, forecast replacements, and provide electrical systems engineering support with on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years of electrical experience in a manufacturing facility in a private, public, government or military environment
• Associate's degree in an electrical field with a minimum of five (5) years of electrical experience in a manufacturing facility in a private, public, government or military environment
• Additional qualifications could include: Electrical Engineering degree, data center experience, PLC & HMI programming, strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ongoing maintenance of Lab, Office, Pilot Plant, and Utility Plant at 3M Center.
• Forecast equipment replacement and renewal ensuring continued asset utilization while controlling capital costs.
• Justify, lead and manage projects; update and modify drawings.
• Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to develop maintenance plans including preventive & predictive maintenance (PPM).
• Perform PPM effectiveness assessments and review preventive maintenance plans for reliability and electrical integrity.
• Provide electrical/systems engineering assistance to maintenance and operations, including troubleshooting, evaluation of failures, and on-call support.
