GE Vernova seeks an Electrical Root Cause Analysis Lead Engineer to own investigations and resolutions for critical power generation assets. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and apply data‑driven solutions to reduce downtime and improve reliability across fleets.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, 4 years of experience, and the ability to travel to wind farms and climb turbines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4 years experience in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting electrical systems, troubleshooting field issues, or working in a service engineering environment.
• Experience in wind, power generation, manufacturing, or other industrial environments is preferred.
• Able to travel to wind farms and climb turbines.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End RCA Ownership: lead the complete lifecycle of RCA projects—from identification and containment to final resolution.
• Technical & Operational Leadership: drive investigations balancing deep technical analysis with operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: act as primary contact for Fleet Performance, NPI Engineering, Field Services, Sourcing, and Quality teams.
• Team Coordination: define resources and expertise for RCA task forces; allocate to ensure success.
• Performance Metrics & Reliability: monitor KPIs and drive initiatives to reduce failure rates in generators, transformers, and power converters.
• Supplier Engagement: lead commercial and technical discussions with vendors.
• Financial & Administrative Stewardship: manage RCA budgets, including cost-benefit analysis and PO workflows.
• Communication & Stakeholder Management: provide clear updates to leadership and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
