Job summary

Loenbro is seeking a Purchasing Agent in Dallas to source and procure materials for electrical projects, maintaining cost-effective, quality-focused supply chains. The role requires negotiation skills and an understanding of electrical materials.

Responsibilities include vendor selection, purchasing, inventory management, cost control, and collaboration with project managers and engineers to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; or a minimum of ten years of purchasing experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role within the electrical or construction industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Vendor selection: identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms and conditions, and establish relationships with vendors.
• Purchasing: place orders for electrical materials, equipment, and supplies to meet project requirements while optimizing cost efficiency.
• Inventory management: maintain accurate records of inventory levels, track usage, and replenish stock to prevent shortages.
• Cost control: monitor pricing trends, negotiate favorable terms, and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Quality assurance: collaborate with QA team to ensure materials meet standards and specs.
• Documentation: maintain detailed records of procurement activities, including PO's, invoices, and vendor contracts.
• Communication: coordinate with project managers, engineers, and team members to meet project requirements.
