Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and ensure electrical accuracy across projects. The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, testing, and procurement within a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid background in electrical systems, adherence to NFPA 70E, and strong communication skills, with proficiency in CAD tools and project scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
• Experience in piping design and engineering preferred, not required.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and pipe stress analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of piping codes and standards (ASME, API).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Project Manager to create efficient project methods and ensure NEC/NFPA compliance.
• Maintain electrical documentation in Procore and coordinate field testing and quality monitoring.
• Coordinate field electrical testing, verification, and data for submittals to customers, vendors, and agencies.
• Perform electrical material take-offs and prepare purchase requisitions.
• Assist PM in developing schedules with MS Project and preparing Electrical Estimates.
