Harlan Electric Company is expanding its estimating team in Pittsburgh. We seek an Estimator or Associate Estimator with experience in transmission, distribution, utility, or commercial electrical projects.

You will participate in a comprehensive training program to build technical estimating skills and advance in the company. Established in 1940, Harlan Electric (a MYR Group subsidiary) offers a comprehensive benefits package and a path for career growth within a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and apply contract documents to pricing including schedule, specs and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents to learn project requirements and pricing basis.
• Perform take-off and material take-off where applicable.
• Obtain vendor and subcontractor quotes and evaluate for best price.
• Submit RFIs for estimating questions by deadline.
• Distribute qualification documents (MBE, WBE, experience, key individuals).
• Participate in estimate reviews with stakeholders and lead discussions.
• Prepare input for customer deliverables (schedule, proposal letters).
• Identify milestones and potential change orders and communicate with PM.
