Stronghold Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical scope on commercial and industrial construction projects. The role is based primarily at our Perris, CA corporate office, with field site visits as needed.

You will own project budgets, negotiate change orders, coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries, and serve as the primary liaison among field teams, clients, and vendors. 5+ years of electrical PM experience required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a comparable project management role with an electrical contractor in the commercial and industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of electrical building systems, design, construction and related management strategies.
  • Experience selecting and managing vendors.

Electrical Project Manager — Power Up Your Career with Stronghold Engineering, Inc.

Are you an Electrical Project Manager who thrives on solving problems in the field and keeping budgets and schedules on track? Stronghold Engineering, Inc. is seeking a driven Electrical Project Manager to lead the electrical portion of our commercial and industrial construction projects. Project locations may vary, but this role works primarily out of our Corporate Office in Perris, CA, and will primarily focus on one project — with the potential to manage multiple projects at once as needed.

You'll own project budgets, negotiate change orders, coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries, and serve as the go-to liaison between our field teams, clients, and vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties are those that an individual must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodations.

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and hold full financial responsibility for assigned work
  • Identify change order opportunities from field conditions, drawing revisions, and RFI responses, then price, negotiate, and execute
  • Assist with the sourcing, tracking, and delivery of key electrical materials, equipment, switchgear, and other components needed to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Coordinates material deliveries and subcontractor work in accordance with the contract schedule and monitors changes during the project in order to adjust deliveries and subcontractors work schedules as necessary.
  • Processing monthly billings by working with the Superintendent for each project to determine percentage of work complete
  • Ensures that submittals are submitted, received, corrected, approved and returned to the subcontractors in a timely manner.
  • Studies and understands the contract specifications, drawings, and associated scope of work requirements for each project before the project begins and during construction operations.
  • Maintains organized documentations, specifications, estimates, submittals and contract drawings for each project.
  • Makes effective use of database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software to prepare statistical and written reports for management.
  • Competently analyzes and prioritizes information to make appropriate recommendations.
  • Oversees, motivates, and evaluates field employees; provides or coordinates staff training; works with employees to correct deficiencies.
  • Makes recommendations and assists in hiring process for field employees. Makes recommendations for termination of field employees as needed. Prepares letters, reports and memorandums between Stronghold Engineering, Inc. and the government, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Acts as a liaison and representative between Stronghold Engineering, Inc. and governmental agencies or other Stronghold clients and their personnel.
  • Assists the Project Superintendent in maintaining good customer and subcontractor’s relations.
  • Assists the Project Superintendent with proper communications between the field and the office.
  • Monitors and ensures adherence to all Stronghold Engineering, Inc., local, state and federal safety regulations at company job sites.
Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a comparable project management role with an electrical contractor in the commercial and industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of electrical building systems, design, construction and related management strategies.
  • Experience selecting and managing vendors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Skilled at summarizing and analyzing information for budgeting revenues and expenses.
  • Ability to lead a project team an manage subcontractors
  • Ability to establish priorities and following through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work in a productive manner independently and with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and pally electrical plans, specifications, an single-line diagrams.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and other project management software programs.
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel required.
Working Conditions
  • Corporate Offices are inside with no exposure to weather conditions.
  • Job site visits required as directed by supervisor.
