Daksta is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of electrical projects in data centre environments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.

The role includes developing project plans, coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and managing procurement while reporting progress to stakeholders. PMP/PRINCE2 desirable for leadership and project execution excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience managing electrical projects, preferably in data centres.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, UPS and backup generators.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electrical installations and data centres.
• Professional certifications like PMP or PRINCE2 are desirable.

• Conduct site visits to monitor installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure milestones are met.

Electrical Project Manager - Data Centre Overview

Responsibilities

• Managing the end-to-end delivery of electrical projects within data centre environments, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
• Developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and client requirements.
• Identifying and mitigating project risks, resolving issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and environmental standards are adhered to on-site.
• Preparing and presenting regular project progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Managing procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers for electrical equipment and materials.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing electrical projects, preferably within the data centre or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS systems, and backup generators.
