Job summary

LVI Associates is partnering with a rapidly growing manufacturer of modular electrical power systems to recruit an Electrical Engineer in a hybrid Dallas role.

You will lead design of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, develop drawings and BOMs, and perform power studies while coordinating with project teams to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure for data centers, energy, and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in electrical power distribution, industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience designing medium-voltage power systems, switchgear, and protective relaying solutions.
  • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, power system analysis, and protection coordination.
  • Experience conducting short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, AutoCAD, or similar electrical design platforms.
  • Familiarity with applicable electrical codes and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design MV and LV power distribution systems for modular electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Develop one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawing packages.
  • Specify and size electrical equipment including switchgear, transformers, transfer switches, UPS systems, batteries, and protection devices.
  • Perform power system studies including short-circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses.
  • Develop grounding and bonding designs in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Define protection philosophies, relay schemes, interlocks, emergency shutdown systems, and alarm strategies.
  • Coordinate electrical interfaces with control systems, HVAC, fire protection, and other stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with electrical codes, standards, and certification requirements.
  • Develop and maintain BOMs and support manufacturing and procurement activities.
  • Participate in FAT, commissioning, start-up support, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution from design through delivery.

Job description

Our client is a rapidly growing manufacturer of power distribution solutions supporting mission‑critical and industrial infrastructure projects. They specialise in delivering modular electrical systems for sectors including data centres, energy, utilities, industrial manufacturing, mining, and oil & gas.

They are seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems. This role will be responsible for developing electrical designs, equipment specifications, protection strategies, grounding systems, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards.

The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, project management, and procurement teams to deliver safe, reliable, and manufacturable power solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
