Job summary

gpac is assisting a well-established local electrical contractor in Redwood City to recruit an experienced Electrical PM/Estimator who can handle estimating and project management for local commercial and industrial projects. The role involves taking ownership from bid to completion and collaborating with field teams and owners.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in electrical construction, strong knowledge of estimating and project management, and experience with software like Accubid, ConEst, or

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience
• Experience in both electrical estimating and project management
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, and construction methods
• Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and estimates

Responsibilities

• Estimate local commercial and industrial electrical projects
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents
• Complete material and labor takeoffs
• Develop project estimates and competitive bids
• Manage awarded projects from contract through completion
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and profitability
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Coordinate with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen in the field
• Assist with project turnover and ensure successful project execution
