Job summary

gpac is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join a well-established local electrical contractor in the Detroit area. You will lead estimates for local commercial and industrial projects, review plans and bid documents, and manage multiple estimates with strict deadlines.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of electrical estimating experience, deep knowledge of materials and labor, and proficiency with Accubid/ConEst/McCormick. Strong local market insight is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical estimating experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background.
• Ability to independently estimate projects from plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of electrical materials, labor, and installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates for local commercial and industrial electrical projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents.
• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Develop accurate and competitive project estimates.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, and opportunities.
• Develop bid strategies and final proposals.
• Work closely with Project Management, Operations, and company leadership.
• Manage multiple estimates and bid deadlines.
• Assist with project turnover after successful bids.
